Getting Started with Trustodian

Trustodian is a multi-chain cryptocurrency custody platform that puts security first. With our multisig vault management, you maintain full control of your digital assets across multiple blockchains.

Why Multisig?

Traditional single-key wallets present a single point of failure. If your private key is compromised, all your funds are at risk. Multisig (multi-signature) wallets solve this by requiring multiple approvals before any transaction can be executed.

Trustodian uses a 2-of-3 threshold approach powered by Shamir Secret Sharing:

  • Device share — stored securely on your device
  • Server share — held by Trustodian's encrypted infrastructure
  • Recovery share — your backup, encrypted with RSA

Any two of these three shares can reconstruct your signing key, meaning you're protected even if one share is lost.

Supported Blockchains

Trustodian supports a wide range of networks:

  • EVM chains — Ethereum, Polygon, Base, Arbitrum, Optimism, BNB Chain, Avalanche
  • Solana — fast, low-cost transactions
  • Tron — widely used for USDT transfers
  • Bitcoin — the original cryptocurrency

Setting Up Your First Vault

  1. Create an account — Sign up at Trustodian and complete identity verification
  2. Set up 2FA — Enable two-factor authentication for an extra layer of security
  3. Create a vault — Choose your blockchain and configure your multisig parameters
  4. Back up your recovery share — Store it safely offline

What's Next?

Once your vault is set up, you can start receiving and sending assets with the confidence that your funds are protected by institutional-grade security — without giving up custody.
